Haha apparently the guy freaked out and my husband let it roar and screamed at him to never go near me again. Apparently the guy said he would never *intentionally* harm an animal and that he had pulled over to tell me I was training her well.... (uhhuh...)... when my husband said "We have three witnesses who'll say you did!" he freaked and locked his door on him and told him to stop cursing in front of his wife, hahahaha.

Police have flagged the man AND his vehicle so if he does anything wrong for a little while even on the road, he's gonna get it. Might be hassled a bit too, judging by the sly comments the cop made.

I told the officer what happened and his heart nearly broke! He told me he might go over there himself to have a talk with that man because he can't believe someone would do that to a young woman and it was just so incredibly wrong.... it was so chivalrous and cute, actually! The cop got all protective and defensive over the situation. I think he likes dogs. And young helpless women. (Anyone looking for a cute single dog loving cop?

)

I feel a lot better now. The cop was a gem.

Oh my gosh! I hope the police take this seriously. While their effectiveness is questionable, do you have the equivalent to our protective restraining orders? Here you can ask the courts for a restraining order that restricts a person from coming within a certain distance of you. If they violate the order, they can be arrested. It is not a certainty that they won't and many people violate them but at least it is a start in getting something done. I don't know if you have anything like that available.
