Shipping is $20 for up to 100 chicks (in one box), $25 for 101-200 chicks (in two boxes). To get the per chick price (with shipping) to be less than or equal to the per chick price for 100 chicks, I'd have to get at least 25. Not a problem. I might even order a bit more with the expectation of being able to sell them closer to ship date when the snow is gone (I hope) and people are thinking more about chicks.
So, I think I'll place an order for 125 or 150 tomorrow.
Ixnay, I haven't heard from you since I suggested last weekend in March for pickup and you had stated a preference for early April. Is the last weekend in March close enough? (I'll hold them for you until April if it's a problem.)
I thought I'd summarize again now though in case I have something wrong or someone else wants in.

ETA: Just saw this on their site -- think it must have gone up while I was posting, I didn't see it when I checked shipping prices just now:
AVAILABILITY: February 24 - WE ARE CURRENTLY SOLD OUT FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 3, MARCH 29, AND APRIL 5. We hatch and ship the Freedom Ranger chicks year round on Wednesdays.
.
So, looks like March 24th (my plan) is the last chance until April 14 (they ship on Wednesdays). And, I might get nervous and place my order tonight rather than wait for open of business tomorrow.
I'm fine with whenever. Late March, early April. I'm self-employed, and will probably be taking a few vacation days the week of 3/14, so the late March delivery would work fine. 25 is good. Looking forward to non-commercial chicken (other than the spare roosters).

Not a problem. I ordered 167 because that meant they were $1.25 each (including shipping) and that seemed easy. If I don't manage to sell the extras, I will see if I can't sell some roasters 12 weeks later.
I was asked to give 3 different weeks for shipping in order of preference. I gave March 22, March 29 and April 5 even though the site says they are sold out for March 29 and April 5. Figured that was a good way to get my first choice.
I'll let you know when I get a confirmation of shipping date. At some point I will take this to e-mail rather than clutter the forum.
