Share your bunnies!

Do any of you also keep your bunnies outside? I have mine living in the same enclosure that my
hens are in,but they're separated, in the winter they stay inside where the heat lamp is, so it's nice and warm.
I would like to see your rabbits housing!

My buns are outside inside the coop. I am considering keeping them outside this winter but I don't know yet, there will be no heat lamp. I'm considering picking up a few extra bales of hay for them to burrow in.

You can definitely give them straw and they'll be warm and snug,,I have had plenty of rabbits live outdoors in the winter in hutches, and I provided them with tons of dry straw inside the house, they were fine

..Actually my mini in the pic above lives in a huge run, outside of the chicken coop and he has a dogloo for a house and during the winter it's packed with straw,,he's been living like that for a long time

you should be ok with that,,

What do you do to keep their water bottle from freezing?

I have those rubber bowls that if they freeze, I break the ice out and refill it...I do it every day so she gets a good drink, then other times,I see her eat snow, like they do in the wild I guess

But I also have my hens water in a heated bowl so she will go in their coop sometimes and have a sip. When we were little,my dad used to give our rabbits packed down snow in the winter,,
