I had one in my batch I was convinced was a blood ring, but left it in just in case. It kept developing and hatched out just fine. Hopefully yours will do the same. Those veins can be tricky sometimes.

I have to be careful I have almost jumped the gun in the past, and maybe have jumped it in the past also. I did take 2 clears out though.

We just got our babies today!! There are 9 of them. Hoping to add them to our current flock of 9 and have alllll the different egg colors! LOL

I’m on day five with my chicken eggs. They are NN and NN crosses. This particular egg is NN/Cali white.

I’m not “planning” to keep any I hatch. It’s just for fun while I wait for my chicks I ordered to be sent out this April.
Later in the year I’ll be hatching guineas and hopefully turkeys!

We will be getting 5 from the feed store, right now we have 3 which should be around a week or two old. In the picture they are around a week old. Sorry about the bad pictures I’ll take more tomorrow when we get the 4th chick. Right now we have 2 Black Jersey Giants and one New Hampshire Red, and we will be getting the Speckled Sussex tomorrow and the Barnevelder a few weeks after.(My sister wanted to wait a few extra weeks for the Barnevelder ). We each got to pick one chick and I picked the SS.

This is my Dads chick Missy, he let me pick her out.

This is my older sisters chick Emo.

And this is my brothers chick. We all want to name her honey but he wants to name her ice cream sundae.
