Day 5 for me!
I have black/blue/splash Ameraucanas cooking right now- I wanted *real* Ameraucanas, and the breeder's post here on BYC looked promising- I didn't realized they would be shipped from TX to OH! Well- they still arrived safely, but we'll wait and see if they hatch!

I hope they do you should get some Beauts then.

Ok, I admit I'm weak. I couldn't wait. I candled today. Only the end o day 3. Really? What would I even see? But I looked anyway. They all look good. So far.

Can't wait to see them!! Wish I'd taken pictures during. I'm on day 20, hoping to see some pipping soon! Also, helping out with my county fair I got to collect a different variety of eggs. One of which is a Phoenix. Hoping some of them are fertile.

So had awards ceremony today for fair so didn't get back till about ten minutes ago. Guess what I found in the Bator

One of the Sumatra chicks hatched and at least 4 or 5 are pipping!!

Another one hatched!! And I looked at their little feet, they have feathers on their legs so their most likely Faverolle/Sumatra chicks.
