The last Rooster we had was named Poke a roo ....all my girls are named after my old neighbours from the city except my broody chicken she's named after my mother in law

My girls are Ilex, Acer, Ginger, Zoe, and Annaleigha.

Ilex and Acer are plant genuses. (Holly and Maple) Annaleigha is just a name my whole family loves, it's Anna lay uh

I've enjoyed hearing all the original names.

Our most peculiar chicken name here is a chantecler pullet who my then-3-yr-old, for reasons best known to himself, named "Ladder".

My main sussex roo is named Pants, which is a little odder than it sounds when you consider that he got the name at about 3 wks of age (due to his markings) when I had no idea he'd turn out to be male

We have a light brahma named...............BIG MAMA the brahma! She has been giving us some 2 3/4" double yolk eggs. She started laying on Dec. 15 and has since laid 4 of these monsters. We cannot even close the lid on an extra large egg carton!
