Oooh, this is a great thread! I love chicken names! We have lots of fun names...

To name a few...
- I'Lean: Our one-legged girl (she gets along great!)
- Toe Picker: small silkie, ALWAYS under-foot, and loves to peck my toes
- Thurston Howell the Turd
- Shirley Manetta: All of our Turkens are named after a dear friend named Manetta (we've got Brown Manetta, Barn Manetta, Fancy Manetta, etc.) -- Shirley Manetta was also named for my great aunt Shirley who was a hydrocephalic born in the early 1900s (her head was swollen from water on the brain). When Shirley Manetta (our turken) hatched, he had a very swollen head. Turns out, Shirley Manetta grew up to be a Roo. Such Luck.

- Tiny Tim: small red Frizzle roo; too frizzled for his own good
- Little Buddy: red Frizzle roo, insists on being held or standing on my knee if I'm sitting in the chicken yard
- Flopsy: large Cuckoo Maran girl with floppy comb...
- Doily: A beautiful little black hen with a delicate white lacey collar around her neck

...and we have many more!

Mostly we just name the roosters:

Geronimo- my Splash Orp Roo
Frodo- my Buff Orp Roo (named by my 4 yo)
Neurotic- One crazy SS hen who is a little off after being raised by herself.

I like this thread. Mine aren't quite so unique but we are going to try and get a few new hens this weekend and I'm getting good ideas. But our rooster, Diesel ...his name is short for Coq A Vin Diesel...hehe

Hey! I have a rooster named diesel too! And a modern game hen named Argentina. You guys are great, very creative too!!

My boys and I show our birds at the state fair. During the fair they have a rooster crowing contest with $150 top prize. Other contestants will name their crowing roosters "Joe", "red", and such. We work hard to have interesting names. Cocky-did-a-do-do, Elvis Peepsley, Russell Crow, Breaking Wind, Sir Crows-a-lot, Colonel's Choice, among others.

Darn, I can't post the "unique" names I call them when I am trying to catch one and they won't cooperate. But I did want to name a mixed breed duck Obama and my wife would not let me.
