Just set my 27

. I have a few olive/creamy colored ones from my EE, a few long dark eggs from my deleware mix hen, a few from my Austrorps, PR's, and BO's. Of course they only possible pure breeds would be the BO's and the 1 Polish that we got the day we bought em,

, but that depends on which rooster fertilized the eggs

. I'm so glad Spring is here so I can get busy getting their chicken tractors built and we can get some purebreds

. I'm sooo excited to be doing my first hatching

.

Thanks, everyone for the good wishes for my daughter. I'm telling her we need to get home so we can hatch again!! She just grins. She loves it, too. Both my girls do.

Sonew, thanks! I can't wait to get some more eggs! Looking at the roo I am so sick that the two chicks who pipped and didn't make it seemed like they were looking just like him. But at least I'm pretty sure I got a hen and a roo. I know it's early, but I think this is pretty obvious.

I was up till 3 this morning

. After I put the eggs in last night I also had to add water to get the humidity up, when I did the temp dropped down to the 80's

. I got the temp up and it decided to keep climbing to almost 102

. Oh yeah, the wafer thingy came off the hook thing that adjusts the temp when the temps were down so I had to get it back on and kept accidentally touching the heating coil

. I'm just glad the eggs weren't warmed up already when all this happened. This is my first time and I'm gonna be soooo nervous for the next 3 weeks

blessed , So sorry to hear about your lil girl ours prayers are with you . Hope she has a speedy recovery and gets to come home soon !

I am sure you will be on board with another hatch in the near future , There are alot of hatch addicts here ..... not speaking about myself of course LOL

But some of these people are just plain crazy about hatching eggs
