I can just imagine what the SLB hatchers will feel when theirs start to hatch. I was so worried I messed something up and wouldn't get any babies, and it would be $60 down the drain.

I just have to say that my dh is just too sweet

. I was telling him I was going to be over the allowed #'s per the town, he said so what. He then asked if he can help with the chickens when he gets back

. Now don't get me wrong, he always helped with the chickens before but they were "my thing". I would catch him out there calling the girls over to give them treats and he calls them just like the roo (which they don't listen when I try) and they really like him. But he wants to help with my projects which I think is pretty cool

(he said he only "asked" as he didn't want to overstep if I just wanted it to be a "me" thing) I told him I would love for him to help me

GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS!! i JUST REALIZED i WENT ON LOCKDOWN YESTERDAY!!! My split should be hatching by Sat ...yeah I have a friend who is lending me her bator to use as a hatcher-because I still have turkey and call duck eggs in bator and I cannot have a stinky foul bator in my kitchen any more:-( My 2 broodies are doing awesome they get off the nest each day to poo -free range for a few minutes and hop right back on...Im going to candle my Lav orp eggs tonight and all the rest of my eggs under broodies! those are due next weekend.. Hey since I have never had a successful broody-how long do they wait until they get off the nest and abandon the other eggs??
