Oh, MAN, the wind out there is killer! Makes a big difference when you spend hours out there - goes right to your bones, or your metal knees, as the case may be. Dogs like it, though.
Have you ever noticed the best coats go over your butt? Nothing worse than cold butt cheeks.
Been catching up on the thread - and this is not a neener - my tomatoes are already about a foot tall with blooms! Composted chicken poop and Microlife do wonders along with Superthrive. My roses have really started blooming and the flower garden is greening up. I have been working hard trying to clear dead frozen black semi-tropicals and hope most come back from the roots. First Ike and then a week with nights in the 20s. Its tough on a Southern garden. I love my heirloom bulbs and roses. Cheers everything up!
chickenlittle32 - Do you have any interest in a araucana 'roo? He's been my favorite, and he just "turned" into a he, I think. He is developing a comb. Rumpless and double, though unevenly, tufted. Going to be light splash. Came from a nice blue egg. Very calm.
I'd like him to go someplace where he will have a permanent home. If you don't want him, just let me know and I can place him on a milk goat farm. The main problem there is they have another 'roo I gave them (Henrietta the Spec. Sussex turned into Henry) and he is really aggressive with other roosters.
Maybe you can look at "him" on The Great Chicken Trade Day and give me your opinion.
