I was asking because when Nat's eggs hatched, 7 out of 9, I had another batch of egg in with her's. The selling said she had been getting over 80% hatch rates on shipped eggs and out of 19 I got a total of 4.
The seller said it was probably my incubator or technique. I really didn't agree with that assessment because Nat's eggs had done so well, so I figured it had to be the PO. It seems reasonable the breed would matter, too. I can't say I've had really good luck with Ameraucanas, though.

I've had a hard time with cochins, too. The best hatching ones I've had were from Vicky Pittman.

and I call myself a nurse! I do stained galss also and I knew about this and for some reason it never flippin clicked! OMG Hoppy I am so sorry, i should have thought about your hobby. Boy do i feel dumb. It's a perfect fit!

lovins,
don't feel bad. I told the dr about my hobby but in the last 6 months I have made mostly stones and not lead solder so I didn't think that could do it and apparently neither did they but we will find out on monday!
the treatment is chelation. not sure just what that involves, either iv or by mouth I'm sure and from what I here, it's a long treatment as it keeps leaching out of the bones, which is a new sympton, my bones hurt (not the joints) like my ribs and long bones and my hair is thinning- oh joy- I've always had really thick hair so this has been disturbing.

There is no chance of estrogen toxicity here is there?

WHAT?????? Estrogen can be toxic? Sheesh, now I know what my problem is! I guess DH does, too.

There have been reported cases of dogs exposed to their owners estrogen supplements (topical and oral) having severe toxicity. There was a case report at the last CE I attended.

I don't take any meds expect what they have put me on since this iron problem. one thing which now make alot of sense, I have a baby bird I was handraising that had a splay leg at the time (not a chicken), this baby is slower mentally and is lacking the weight of it's clutchmate although still within normal. lead poisoning could have come from my hands while handfeeding even though I washed well before feeding this baby. this baby was handled more and fed longer due to it's leg issue, things are starting to add up, meaning this baby could have lead poisoning as well.

Owner used a topical formulation.

kids can get exposed the same way that is why they recommend people using it cover up after applying it (it's applied to the inside of the upper arm, thigh or ?chest?)
but I don't use it, saw the same warning on google.

OMG. Did she let the dog lick her, or something? Were they toy or small dogs?

Sorry. I want to know all the gory details. Students expect you to know stuff like that.
