So I spent the day winterizing the coop (had to step away from the canning, been going NUTS, I have a little bit of tomatoe canning left to do then as far as I'm concerned I am WAY done. I have gone through more ajrs than most amish. So I'm at Lowes and run into the ex he asks what I'm picking up. I tell him I need abitibi paneling to enclose the insulation in the coop. Well someone just gave him a bunch of Maple Veneer. I'm like in a chicken coop CJ? He shrugs and says why not its free. So my chooks now have a vented, insulated, maple paneled coop... spoiled brats, I'll take pics when it's done.

I need to figure out how to over winter the ducks without the chickens pooping on their heads. Guessing I'll need to use some kind of poop board under the roosts until I can set them up in the barn at the new place. Finally got around to putting a pop door in this amish coop. Funny how having a deadline makes you motivate.
