Nat, you are my hero! If that were me, I would be pulling my hair out and locking myself in my bedroom. I don't know how I am going to handle sleepovers when DD gets that age!

Moderation next time. Im used to most of all these girls as they have all pretty much been here or stayed the night especially the BFF's LOL So I can be me ( hitler) and it doesnt scare them..haha They all came out got drinks -bathroom and right back into DD's room while other DD is in her eroom with her BFF. SO its kinda quiet out here while Im on Computer. I told them I was going to bed soon and I will hurt weach and every one of them if I get woken up beyond midnite-that or I will scare the crap out of them by scratching on the big window outside her bedroom hehe Ill growl too Gosh I love being a mom-it's so much fun torturing them like that!!! LOL

Ah, the joys of embarrassing/scaring our children! I picked up an additional window decal in Ohio that says "Chickens are like potato chips, you can't have just one" with silhouettes of a roo, two hens and some chicks. My girls are gonna freak! They're already hoping no one sees them with me with my chickens jacket in my truck with the "Got Chickens" sticker and the "GTCHKNS" license plates. I used to tell my daughter that if she kept giving me a hard time, I would pull up in front of her school blaring Barry Manilow out my open windows. It's the simple things in life that bring you joy.

I have a formula for sleepovers for my dds which evolved the hard way:

1. No brats
2. No really loud kids (or kids with ADHD that are not properly medicated)
3. No running through the house/up/down stairs
4. No screaming
5. Feed them buffet style and let them get on with it
6. Try to get them to watch a movie - or 2 (keeps them occupied and quiet for a few hours)
7. Movie is usually followed by gravitation to computer where something of marginal suitability is watched usually on you tube - they KNOW exactly how far they can push me
8. Kids retire to bedroom to talk about all the people not at the party
9. No noise after midnight - I let them determine lights out time (reverse psychology) - it is often before midnight.
10. siblings get a friend too but they must keep out of the way of the party (otherwise it always ends in tears)
11. Pick up time is 9.00am sharp which means most are gone by 1.00pm

After it is over I swear I will never do it again..... but I do

Whoa - I have exactly the same rules! And yet, the kids love to come over to our house. Maybe it's a subconscious desire to hear the word "no?"

I think kids subconsciously like some rules so that they know how they are expected to behave, and like yours, kids always seem to want to come over and I leave it to my girls to keep them under control, which they do.

It was a bit scarey a few years back when there was no noise from the bedroom at all, and when I checked in to see if they were all alive they were reading POETRY to eachother

Now they show each other the latest cool thing on the internet.
We have a "Kids computer" which is next to the kitchen and we know more or less what they are doing on it, and they know we know so all is good without having to say "no" too often.

Well Im up dang it cuse dogs had to go out-very rarely can I go back to sleep after Im up like that:-( It went well I fell aleep by 11pm and they never woke me up oldest DDand her BF were sleeping before me!

Mornin' All! Glad you survived the sleepover Nat! Don't know why they call it a sleepover, no one sleeps! Nat my babies are all feathered and looking good! Looks like I have all girls in my 10. My friend took 11 and I could tell 3 or4 were roos, but he didn't care! Now the long wait to see the eggs!
