Good for you! Jealous for sure-I need another pen/run like I need a hole in my head. I did move 8 6 weekers into the garage so I can move the 2 weekers into the big kitchen brooder-I cant wait until I can movethat sucker in the garage as soon as temps are above 50! ahhhh
The shuffling is always not so fun....I do love watching how they start to grow out tho...Temps here were above 70 finally! lol You still have mess in your house...ugh...I hate that...the dust...smell...yeah, I understand why you are anxious for that temp to get up there.
I know what ya mean, Aces, it gets to the point that I can't stand the smell any more. Not like they smell bad, but it does have an odor. So I moved my 2 weekers out yesterday to a coop with a heat lamp.
I learned alot from the silkie chicks. They were born over a month ago , hatched by 2 moms, and day 3 they were out in 30-40 degree temperatures no problem. They got a warm up nap from mom a few times a day, but I was amazed at how well they did in the cold.
