I can eat roos and wack them off too. I don't like to of course but if I can't give them away or sell them I promised myslef I am NOT feeding into winter again with 6 extra roos...I got lucky and gave them all away this time. Last Summer I offed about 12-BO's-some polish-standard cochins..I feel guilty but they were spoiled rotten when they were alive. Now Will I off a BLRW roo-depends I guess--is he nice? is he fat? etc... haha

freezer camp... don't know if I have the strength to do that yet... had my first cull this year and that was enough

I hear ya sister! Mike was gonna do the deed to 2 of my roos yesterday. I've been after him for a month to get it done. But once it came time, I freaked and couldn't let him do it. Luckily a friend of a friend took them today. Still need to cut down by 2 more, but I'm not sure which ones yet. Then of course, roos from the brooder and the next hatch will have to go as well. Not all of them, but most of them anyways.

Yah I get way more attached than a person in chicken husbandry maybe ought too and also I'm just an over emotional wuss put it together = bad freezer camp combo.
