That's the egg that has an almost fully developed chick in it.....I think maybe they're pickled....that I'm not sure on but they eat them!

K. Rabbits are one thing, but this is not even in the same category. EWWWW.

(Probably makes it easier that I grew up in a family that killed chickens and hunted rabbits though. And we didn't eat partially formed chicks.)

ok escargo if done correctly is amazing!!! I havent had it in about 11 years since I moved from CHicago. I used to go to a restaurant down the street after work-2x a week to get it-6 pieces cooked in fresh garlic and olive oil with fresh bread to dip---ahhh to die for!!!

I might consider giving it a go 1 more time. I had it and it was gritty and rubbery...BLECH! I wouldn't eat any of the other stuff because of the way it's made. I don't do baby animals or anything fed so much that it can't support it's own weight.

I saw another thread a few hours ago about eggs rolling around on day 15 for someone. Maybe something weird's going on. You know, like Twilight Zone. Except for eggs.

LOL -yes -next week sometime. You watch-now I just cursed myself on those eggs! Brindle wants some too and a few others I think wanted some too-It so much easier for me to throw them up for auction and let them go that way-Thats the only way I ever sold them-so I wouldnt know what to charge otherwise? whats a good price you think? Im not out to rob people. LOL Brindle wants olive eggs too-hmmmm....you just want the silkies though right?

If done correctly-and are good quality there should be no grit-but it is a snail so you never know-and should be tender as chicken-not rubbery like a ball hahaha

see??? Whenever I take down a list for them I hose myself bigtime-and then they dont lay. SO I just collect for a day or so and throw them up for auction and collect another day or so then ship~ so much easier that way-and then I dont have a guilty conscience--I am good at that!

No guilt from me. Just excitement when I get them.

Well, and maybe some gloating if I get to shark someone in the auction
