Well my dear I have 7 of alllll sorts of colors omg they are so incredibly cute! But tiny and fly like sparrows, so be fore warned.

There was no bator

I was told there'd be bators, not one single one, but I have a lead on one. Laura is going to get back to me and she wants to know about some of your hens Nat. Very nice no kill farm that has all kinds of animals in Evans Mills. They go to Saranac often to sell/trade llamas.

I think they must be silkies, Nava.

Blue and splash silkies (eggs from pampered poultry). Also got one black but it was not quite dry at the time of the photo. All 5 babies went to there FFA home today. I was quite sad to see them leave, little cutie pies!

I think the story was that it dislocated it's leg and then snapped above the hock a few days later. it is a roo as well but my co-worker didn't know that, she thought she had all girls (wellies) so now she has a one legged rooster. I'm glad it wasn't mine. I, today, somehow brought home a pair of brahma x columbian rock bantams. really cute, was I crazy??? they are a project of an acquaintance of mine. he's a really nice fellow and no one was bidding on his birds, so I did, got them for a steal and they are quite nice. I don't think I can really keep them. I limit myself to 12 birds in the coop in the winter, so they have space and stay warm without being super crowded. my rooster already let the new rooster know that this was his house and his girls (and the new one is penned up away from the flock so "Disco my blr" had to go find him out while free ranging)

I just love Magnolias so i took a pic of one of the flowers from my little tree

Magnolias are so lovely and come in so many different kinds!

Nice photo.

I was going to work in the yard yesterday and take flower photos, but we had storms pass through, so the flowers will have to bloom again before I can get photos and I didn't get any yardwork done. The crinum lilies are already putting out new buds, though. (edited to add: I should say a couple of crinum lilies - most of the other varieties will bloom June-ish.)

We really needed the rain. Houston is already behind a few inches of rain for the year so far, so we need all we can get!

Also got a bowl full of cherry tomatoes and brought in 2 nice slicers to finish ripening on the kitchen windowsill. Grapes are developing nicely and so are the blackberries.
