I've done a few hatches in my R-com 20. It's digital. I had a digital brinsea spotcheck thermometer in there, and always read they were spot on. Well I think they are accurate for spot checking where you place the probe level with the top of the eggs, and do spot checks. The spot check thermometer never matched the rcom. So I ordered a brinsea glass thermometer. That thing is accurate! I had one with a brinsea octagon. That's why I bought another one. Just an FYI

Got my eggs from Crunchie today

I have 11 w/c chocolate polish(bantam), 4 lav split ameraucana and 2 blue/spl ameraucana, and 1 blrw (cuz that is all they laid for me

)that's ok, it would be perfect to have that one hatch and be a hen so I have some eye candy. Now just gotta wait for my eggs from Imogene and I might have some bantam russian orloff coming. I keep saying "last one" but never seem to get there

. I have 2 dozen in the hatcher that was due yesterday and today, yesterdays are still doing nothing and todays have 2 out and nothing else. Seems like no one is having any luck hatching

I am still going to cross my fingers and hope

Have yall calibrated the thermometers or changed the batteries if they are digital? I ask because I had the same problem a couple hatches ago...I did all that and now have pretty good hatches..now if the Cocci stays away...I'll be good!

Hey, I have already told Nava this - my husband does NOT like the way NNs look, so if anybody DID give me one I wouldn't be able to keep it. DH has been fairly tolerant of the chickens, so far, and I am NOT going to push my luck. So be forewarned! You don't want a Little NN Oliver Twist, do you? chickenlitte and brindle- yes I contacted the person back when I knew only 3 were developing, she said she's send more and that the eggs I sent arrived great but I have not heard hide nor hair since these hatched and she's not been posting at all since early may. she contacted me for a trade so it wasn't through any of the auctions and i get requests all the time from people not wanting to buy from the auction so that's not a new thing. once these last eggs hatch, I'm done for the season. Hopefully someone at the show will think she's/he's a cutie. I was so temped to buy eggs last night on the auction but just couldn't bring myself to do it.
