So sad about your hen, very glad we have no large snakes here, ick.
I went and picked up 13 BCM babies and 5 BLRW babies yesterday. I pretty much gave up on shipped BLRW eggs for the moment, lol. I am only hatching what I need for the flocks I am trying to build right now (sort of). The mottled javas and delawares and buff orp eggs don't count.
In the past month I hatched 8? Coro/ Split, I am down to 3. The 3 I have have grown faster and just been stronger, they all are split though. Wondering if the babies just are not strong due to inbreeding and all. They were hatched with Missprissy's orp eggs and all those babies are going strong. If I ever get a coro flock together it will cost me a fortune.
Just wanted to drop by and say hi. Have to go to my nieces birthday party. 4 hours at a skating rink. Whoo hoo!
