I don't know what to say for the first time in a long time! This was such a sweet thing to do! Mary, I wish I could do it for you too

I will for sure pay it forward when my luck changes-and if you dont already have it when that time comes-you will shortly after:-)

"Stevie" is such a good broody-she only gets off the nest when the bigger hens kick her off to lay their eggs under her! She hops right on when they leave-less than 2 weeks to go!!!!

Nope-Im afraid to remove the eggs:-( I dont want to take them away too long-she is in the coop that we removed the electricity when Spring came...I could take an extention cord and hook up my pimped candler:-) Ill do it-tomorrow night! My flashlight is not that bright to do it that way....Ill let you know ASAP!!!

Are you going to incubate them???? Lovins has some and Im so tempted to do it-but I have to thin the flocks. I have looked at my groups and Im keeping all my blue/splash orps-my white orps-all my silkies-all my colored eggs layers-they are in with a FBCM roo-they should be laying in the next month or so:-) The rest which is about 10 oddball hens will be sold off -only when the newer ones start laying, otherwise my egg eating customers will not be happy..LOL..

I'll take some pics tomorrow. Tonight when I went to close the coop, Natalie is on a perch with her wing over the little buff orp that was an egg in my car. He appears to be a bantam size orp, and a boy, so "Nava" is now "EL". Oh well

Well DH has been using my Kodak and his card is full of his pics and I don't want to download them onto my computer, and don't want to erase them but I have a nice card sitting right here empty.

Update on Buttercup. She has been put up for sale, and the trainer is going to hold off charging me for training. She says the mule is beautiful and should sell fast, because they are in demand. Well that woman who changed her mind lost out on a really nice deal. Because Buttercup is selling for double what I asked that lady for. My trainer (parents own the barn) says gaited mules are pretty much in demand.
