ok, they are here. the hens are splits so they are bbr(?) I believe(would have to look up what he told me) and the roo is opal. His color is a little bit off because of sun exposure but right now he looks like he is a beautiful white with a khaki type color hackle and saddle feathers. He wasn't too happy with me earlier and kept whacking me when I tried to pick him up. I will try to get pics soon when he settles a bit and I have help(kids are out of school in a couple days). I am just so happy they made it

I will use this quarantine time to build them a hutch type pen...will have to look those up

would oegb be ok on 1/4 in hardware cloth(for flooring)?

eta- I am not sure if he is hoarse or if that is his normal crow but it is sooo cute and not obnoxious at all, guess I will have to wait a few days to see if this is the norm

wait until you see the eggs-I get 4 a day now-fertilized? Thats the question I have a set of testers out there now with 1 wthchristi--she bought my split lav eggs and I sent her 5 olive eggers-I have the girls in with a FBCM roo so the resulting chicks will lay olive eggs as well! one of the girls laying lays green eggs but not faint green-like frog green so cool -the eggs are a tad small now because of being pullet eggs so in a few more weeks they will bigger and I can send Brindle a nice batch that Ive owed her FOREVER...LOL...!

OK girls here it is...

4/4 silver lace polish from Patty hatched
0/3 BCM from cottage garden but one is pipping.
2/2 OE sex linked f2 crossbacks olive eggs from cottage garden
4/6 giant cochins, blue and splash from cottage garden
5/6 oe mixes from SashasMom??
3/24 cotournix survived.

So a total of 18 new birds and 20 duck embryos still swimming in the bator! Holy COW bird overload.
