No, but this is a well known "reputable" cochin breeder. Maybe he's just busy. I am just feeling frustrated. This hatching business is a crap-shoot and I waited quite a while for 2 dozen eggs, and to not get a single black female....well....I guess I could breed to mottles to the black boys and get splits. Meanwhile, I have Ameraucanas coming out my ears.

I'm sorry Dak, i know how you feel. I got quite a selection of "not quite what I wanted" birds this yr. some from here, some from eggbid.
I'm to the point, I want to see what I'm buying. alreay hatched

Yeah. I just sent out an email in search of started black LF. We'll see if anything is available.

crud Dak if I would have I would have kept my black LF cochin a while longer to get you some eggs-Seems all I had were black chicks hatching out too and I had a blue and black hen in the breeding pen:-(

She's my little shining star so far. I can't wait to breed her in the spring with Syrah a blue laced red roo I have from BareGretchen. I also have a few of the foley birds that are starting to look pretty good.
