rip rip rip MOmma-was a rough day at work-had to scream at one of my guys at work today--I hardly ever raise my voice but he was going off on something and I said his name 2x nicely and he wouldnt shut up-I yelled his name and told him to get his butt in hallway and not infront of other employees to talk to me-he yelled at me that he was a 33 yr old man and he will not be talked down to like that-I stop acting like your 3 and maybe youd get the respect you deserve-wow I thought he was mad before...LOL we went straight to my bosses office and after an hour he apologized for being as ass but arogant crapola!! I told him Not to ever speak to me like that again and I wont speak to him like that but I have every right to raise my voice when he wont SHUT UP!!! he's lucky I didnt

Oh man, I feel for you. There was a certain type of guy I hated supervising, you could just see it coming. First time he called me "honey" I would step on him with my be-spiked heel. Older white males 50-65 were the worst, but there were certain younger guys, too. Lots of guys in the Texas oil industry have real trouble with having a woman boss. Some of 'em would step real close and try to intimidate you with there size, but my Dad was 6'4" so I'm used to it. It would really annoy me and I would step in even closer and tell them to back off or their butt was mine! I so so prefer working with dogs!

Just a thought before I leave, Nat. Have you ever noticed a man with a strong personality and strong leadership qualities is admired, and a woman with the exact same qualities (I am not talking about myself here, I am refering to more skilled individuals than me) are refered to as bizatches by the same guys who admire the aforementioned man?

again 100% agreement on that note too. Half the time I dont really tell people what I do and such because they are like oooooh really that sounds important??
