The spupples are doing really well and are very, exceedingly fat. I'm thinking of asking dak if pups can be too fat!

These little guys have fat rolls on their fat rolls!

Their eyes just started opening yesterday, and they are doing little push-ups instead of just crawling around. Means they can inch worm around a lot faster!

Maggie feeds them and cleans them, but still doesn't take a lot of notice when they cry in distress. Fat Boy crawled out over my mattress and out onto the tile floor and was crying and barking away when I got out of the shower. Maggie was curled up on the mattress and just kind of looked at me like what????

So I think a foot high barrier will be going up, shortly. Maybe I can get John to rip a piece of plywood.

I'll take some pics and get them up today. Fat Boy probably weighs a couple of pounds!

It's probably Ok for now as long as they get get their legs underneath them. Don 't let it go on to long or they will be prone to OCD (osteochondritis dessicans) or the various dysplasias. Kiddee pools are good in the exercise pen. Keeps pups in for awhile and easy to disinfect. I put done newspaper then those washable acrylic lambskins.

BLBs just got put in their pen on the porch with a heat lamp. Hope they'll be OK.

Hi, everyone. Just watched my hawks get killed by the Bears. Ick. Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on my son.

He spent from Fri- Tues in jail, he was moved into the psychiatric part of the jail on Sunday. The mental health people did a review before he was released to see if he should be moved to a hospital for a 72 hour hold. They decided he was not dangerous, nor a danger to others at that point, therefore they could not hold him and I picked him up at 7pm Tuesday night.

When I picked him up he told me they had not given his meds while he was in and he wanted to try and get off of them. He was more coherent (noticing the car ride, where he was at, etc.). My hubby and I have been concerned about the level of medicine for awhile (25 mg of zyrexa is at the highest allowed level). I talked to several people who said that he probably did not get his meds in jail and I did a pill count that backed up that unless the jail supplied there own, he did not get his meds. We decided to let him continue to not take his meds.

I talked to his counselor, who for awhile has been sure he has either been misdiagnosed or on the wrong drugs. Zyprexa is a heavy duty antipsychotic. We are now 9 days past drugs and he is changing by the day. Lots of side effects from withdrawing- headaches, stomachaches and some insomnia. He says he feels like his inside is getting beat up.

But-

He is hardly talking to himself- he is having REAL conversations for the first time in years- he is not constantly mean- he is hardly smoking- he is slowly improving each day and I see my son slowly emerging from a psychotic cloudy rage he has been in for what seems like forever.

I am afraid to get to excited- but maybe? Can a high dosage of an antipsychotic cause psychotic behavior if it is the wrong drug? He has been on it since he was 16.
