Shaws call duck incubation thread (hatch a wonderful(worthless to Ralphie) dux thread)

I phoned a friend :)

So here's your answer: in the baby picture, 1,2,3 are greys. 6 is restricted gray (appleyard) as I thought. 5 is either an overly marked black bibbed or black magpie. Four is blue fawn restricted, so kinda 'blue appleyard' like I thought.
I wonder if your friend might have any thoughts about my litle chocolate looking one?

Calls are so fascinating! Blue fawn restricted I've never even heard of. Not that I know much but I've looked at all the charts and posters. That particular duck is oversized and very un call like in proportions.

I hate to even attempt to wonder what that color means for breeding!

Sweet! I thought some appleyard had to be in there somewhere but I know nothing about the restricted stuff. Very cool!

Remember the one that I couldn't figure out that we thought was blue dusky? That one apparently was blue fawn with dusky influence and maybe partial pied.

Boy are these colors complicated, lol.
Ok, i knew i was lost when it comes to their colors... now i just realized how lost i truly am...:lau:gig
