Actually come to think of it it was probably my inconsistent turning in the beginning that led to the underdeveloped CAM

So i was candling this egg and i was like omg did it die because the veins look very faint and it had a SLIGHT shadow (you know the very beginning when it starts to internally pip) and i didnt see any movement and i was like oh no its malpositioned and it died/is dying so THEN i made a safe hole and saw some movement and I decided it would give me some peace of mind if i could just see the bill so then i leave it to do its thing! So i chipped away and used coconut oil blah blah blah Low and behold IT IS MALPOSITIONED!! I dont see a bill and i see yolk!!! I dont know how on earth im going to find the beak it could be anywhere and theres no "bruise" on the shell. I know theres lots of veins indicating my duckling is not yet ripe but thats not the point! I just cant believe i caught this, usually they die in the shell but this one has a chance. Can someone help me find the bill and out to get to it without rupturing any veins ??
Apologies, this is probably somewhere in this thread, but what day is this egg on?
Its only on 24 (call ducks), i know its early but theres a reason i intervened.. wait do you think its in the correct position and im just horribly wrong and i should of left it and now its going to die a slow unnatural death?
Eta:
Forgive me i sound terribly naive getting all worked up, i am quite comfortable assisting calls and had a 100% hatch rate with my last bunch, im just worried now because ive never dealt with a malpositioned one.

So i did see a tiny bruise, went for it like a safehole, slowly scratching until i peeled away a large area and was elated to find the bill there. There no bleeding, but to my shock the baby took a few gasps and passed away. It was difficult to understand why, but i was certain it did when the veins disappeared and it stopped moving and breathing. I opened the egg further and found it had a bi-lobed yolk and one of the lobes was light green. Im not sure if it was my fault or not but considering the green yolk it probably wouldn't have lived anyway.
Oh well, i did all i could.
Sorry you lost itGreen yolk is a sign of an infection, so it likely wouldn't have made it anyway, you're right.
