Don't add any water yet. Add the eggs and see where it stabilizes first. Is the temp holding well? Much more important than the humidity to start with.
Yes the temp is holding very well. . the aquarium thermometer has not budged from 100. I've moved it around in there a couple times too to see if there were hot spots and it didn't change. So at least I can be happy about that.

Ok, now you have 3 weeks to buy some rubber shelf liner at the dollar store. You'll want to cut it to fit, and put it under the eggs when you crank up the humidity. It's much safer than that rough plastic grid, if one would happen to hatch with a little open navel or any issue.

I can do that! :thumbsup

It may go up and down as the heater kicks on and off. Just make sure it doesn't stay high for a prolonged period. You'll learn your thermometer, how fast it reacts to the changes. It's nice having one that reacts quickly, but it will also drive you bonkers. :D
Bonkers is an understatement. The digital thermo I have shows anything from 98 to 101 at random times despite five others showing 100 as a more accurate internal temperature.
