Shaws call duck incubation thread (hatch a wonderful(worthless to Ralphie) dux thread)

It may go up and down as the heater kicks on and off. Just make sure it doesn't stay high for a prolonged period. You'll learn your thermometer, how fast it reacts to the changes. It's nice having one that reacts quickly, but it will also drive you bonkers. :D
I'm watching the fish tank thermometer since I was able to test it and know it was accurate. Those stupid digital ones are annoying.
Fake Eilleen, Have you ever tried Diesel fuel in the incubator?

I have heard it will help control the humidity and keep your place from being overrun with dux...
I will keep that in mind for future reference :caf

so I might have an issue.
When I turned eggs a while ago I checked a few minutes later and this big thermometer said 110!!
HOWEVER. . I did have it standing up in the corner go the back so I laid it down. . moved the eggs around so none of them are directly under the fan. . and now it says 100. So I don't know what to think.. .I don't know for sure if that thermometer is correct.

I put the fish thermometer on top of the other one will see what it reads in a bit. . it read under 100 at the time the other one said 110. . but it was closer to the front away from the fan. :hmm
It was actually only reading about 97 at the time. I'm just afraid even with forced air this thing may have extreme hot and cold spots.
