Well I have another problem. One of the ducklings in the egg has a large pink lump on the back of its head (definitely not crested) that almost looks like its brain. It looks like its done absorbing when i candle, but its not trying to push itself out. Am I gonna have to cull? I can post a picture but its a bit graphic.

I've never seen anything like that but I have to agree with you. It "looks" like the brain. But may be something else.

Oh wow! That's amazing. Personally, I'd let it hatch, give it a day or so to see what happens. I'm not sure it will close up enough to survive very long.

That's what ill do thank you. Perhaps its a crested gene gone wrong? I have none in my flock but maybe someone is a carrier

Yes it does. A soft tissue lump with no feathers.

and I know what balut is thank you very much!! Dont know why people think its cool to boil animals alive but, hey if you cant see it it doesnt exist right?
