I had WAY too much Call excitement today.

Last week at a swap I bought two white drakes because the woman selling them wouldn't split them, but I only needed one. So I'm going to try to sell the other at a swap tomorrow. So, I caught him this afternoon and boxed him up and drove him to my house in town to put him in the garage until tomorrow when I have to leave.

Well, somehow, when I put his carrier down in front of the garage, he squeezed out and bolted for the road. What followed was five minutes of panic as I tried to catch him as he ran under my car, the truck, etc until I finally got him with my net.

Slippery little Rascals aren't they! I've had to use the net to catch duck and Jane before

Jax has learned how to take off like a helicopter....straight up, then fly flat when he gets up to about 7 to 8 feet.... which of course is over my short head.

Got sly and ninja out for some swim time in the sun. . and Howard for once is not bothering them. Amazing what a few days of being locked up watching the others play will do!

and by the way. .the you know it's hard to get a decent picture of a black duck in a black dish?

Moved the pastels outside last night. They cried and cried for me when I left them out there
But I think they are happy today to not be cooped up in the brood r. It was getting hot and smelly in there
If only they weren't such poopy animals! I would so be having house ducks
Those pastel babies are so snuggly and sweet. I just know they are both going to be boys and I'll have to sell them

I'm pretty sure I remember thea trying to quack already at this age and I've heard nothing like a quack from them so far. Plus their legs and bodies look huge to me.
