Shaws call duck incubation thread (hatch a wonderful(worthless to Ralphie) dux thread)

Duck's blue fawn, right?

Do you have pictures of the pastel babies you got from him and Jane?

Edit: Duh, just saw the second to last picture. That definitely looks like a pastel baby. Interesting that Jane looks gray, since you could only get pastel if she does indeed have a blue gene. Hmm.
Lol. . they are mystery ducks. Ravyn was confused too. I still am. She said he was blue fawn. I had originally thought they were both gray.

Maybe just the picture. .
But it's blueish gray greenish? It looks different in different light.

If your bored You can look at my first thread and see more pictures and read what all Ravyn thought about them.

I think I might look through that.

I'm stumped. The only varieties I know that have brown heads are all chocolate. And for a drake to be chocolate, he must get two copies of it from his parents. And you don't have any chocolate females (right? lol) so that would be impossible.

How soon after getting Duck and Jane did you hatch those eggs? Your friend didn't happen to have more than just the two of them before he gave them to you, did he?

Just wondering if someone else might have fertilized Jane for that first hatch and there might be some unknown genetics in there, lol.

Nope. I done chores for him the summer before I got them when he was in the hospital. .. He had another pair of big ducks but they were all in homemade cages that were wired shut. . didn't even have doors. You had to pour the food ever the top and hope you hit the pan and just fill the water through the side of the cage. Duck and Jane were on their own. No other calls. I actually thought they were babies cause they were little. .didn't know about call ducks then lol. I was shocked when he brought them to me and they hadn't grown lol.
