Shaws call duck incubation thread (hatch a wonderful(worthless to Ralphie) dux thread)

That's where I got that info I posted earlier from :)

He's a juvenile appleyard drake, so for right now his head is black/gray, and it will return to that color in eclipse, but when he molts into nuptial plumage it will probably go green.
That's what I am hoping for in drako. . that maybe it will change next year. but since Ralphie didn't get his head color when he went through juvenile molt I'm not going to hold my breath.

Sorry to multi post this, but what kind of ducks do you guys think these are?

Dusky has gotten his drake feather and his adult feathers are coming in too. Just a small section of baby feathers left.

I think the two like this may turn out to be Fawn and Whites. She still has that chocolatey coloring, but I can see the blue haze in there too.

And a couple for fun: Bonkers and Dusky preening, and Phoebe in an ice cream bowl of water. :gig I have water bowls all over the yard lol

Is that lighter one all white??

The black one looks like a cayuga.

The lighter one is still yellow, so at first I thought maybe pekin & cayuga, but the ad says they're approx 6mos & no way would a pekin still be yellow, right? Then I looked at how tall shes standing & thought maybe runners. After a good nights sleep, I'm thinking they must be pekin & cayuga & much younger than 6mos, but who knows. Ad also said the lighter one is a female & the black is unknown. By 6mos surely they would know.

I love that chocolaty Bibb d duckie:love
I don't know what a silver technically is supposed to look like. That website you linked a while back only shows apricot silver.

It shows this as a silver under British colors. I don't understand the differences in British vs US and all that. It just makes everything so confusing. And like the pastel vs. The buff. There is not much difference.
