I think the conifer bugs have a greenish shape on the back of the body. I noticed they were different when looking up pictures. I have an abnormal fascination with bugs. Half the stuff I see around here are invasive and killing trees left and right.

Same here, it's really sad, lots of invasive plants as well

Yeah, a little too proud. I had to take it away from her so they wouldn't get into a big dawg brawl over it, BTDT. She knows "drop it" but is just a pup and was testing me. I had a hold of the tail while the rest was in her mouth, when I would say "drop" she would obey and let loose, but then quickly clamp back down on it before I could actually pull it away, lol.

Did you skin it and shave it? Squirrel fur is useful for tying flies and can be dyed with Rit fabric dye. Ya know just in case you were getting into stitching bugs.

I threw it in the woods, but will go shave it if you want the fur.

I garden too, so checking all insects and bugs an constantly learning good bug, bad bug is important. You never know when the next one will be a drone!
