Shaws Snow day Silliness and Southie Sense of humor Thread

Sadly, I don't know whether I'm a northie or a southie. I live just below the Mason Dixon Line, but the people are not at all "southern" around here. I guess I'm just a plain 'ol boring middlie.:hit
Oh Lordy, it doesn’t matter what we are. We all just kind of ease into a role consistent to where we lay our roots.

When I lived in GA, Dalton to be exact, I felt like I had to keep up with the Joneses. Dalton is the Carpet Capital of the World and at one time had the most millionaires per capita. See where the stress came from?

Since I moved to Alabama, that stress quickly subsided.

I still am who I am/or was, it’s just no one cares around here. I am, however, very lucky and thankful my family is on the higher end of the Median Household Income, because so many around here are not.

One of my favorite songs of all time.

I am lucky, in a sense, because I moved so frequently as a kid, that I can pinpoint within a year when a song became popular, simply by where I lived when it played. I think that gives me a very special super power. ;)

Generally speaking, I just know things, mostly useless OR forgotten...but I remember Brandy very well! And I was only 10 when it became popular!

You’re a southie, as is everyone around you, unless there is a Northerner on a spying mission close by.

I do like this, so maybe I actually am a southie.

I'm sure Ralphie will be along shortly to confirm that.
A little known fact about that song. It is not the melody or the Southie theme people love about it. It’s the guitar riff, which undoubtedly was written by a Northerner, its way too good to be a Southie creation.

Yea I know I am still pages behind.. I will catch up soon.
