I completely understand. Just remember this is a temporary situation.

Don't stress over the boyfriend they just get in the way of your education. I've been married for 34 years and not to the girls I dated in highschool. But my wife is the best girl I ever dated and worth all the heartache in between. Funny she and I went to the same high school a year apart and didn't know each other til years later.

Trouble comes to us all. It's how we learn to deal with the tough times.

Sorry about the chicks. I'm glad your sister didn't burn the house down. Parents don't always know what to do so they like us all do the best they can. Store this experience away for future reference when you have kids of your own.

Little sisters

I have two of them and I hated when they did stupid stuff that caused me anger and loss and pain and my stupid parents didn't get it! I'm 36 and I still completely understand you anger and frustration. I love my sisters and we have gotten past the "childhood" stuff, but it still bites when it happens.

Big hug!!! As the oldest of four (and now mommy of two who frequently accidentally destroy precious projects) I feel your pain. And I know you put a lot of time, effort, and care into those particular little birds. A ray of hope: I'm a married mama/lawyer (

) who lives a gajillion miles away from the farm she grew up on, and I'm just now restarting my flock (in the middle of the city!) and hatching all the breeds I ever wanted but couldn't get. Sooooo... take a deep breath and remember that if you want to pursue hatching these breeds you will get the chance to try it again. Maybe the pesky blanket folk won't even be in the same state when you do!

I am so sorry! The poor babies! Don't give up, I know that their lives were irreplaceable, but don't give up trying to find the birds you want. Post an ad on craigslist? As far as the boyfriend, I know it still hurts, but if he was so callous and uncaring by ubrptly ending things,

he's not worth you time! Do you have any frinds who are girls going to prom? I had two dates for prom, my BF, and my best friend who is a girl! We took pictures together and we had a great time! Go with the intention of having a blast! You only get one prom!

And shes well old enough to understand what you told her...
I'd be livid too! I'd make her pay you back for the birds and bury them HERSELF too!

I do have an incubator, which currently has some eggs from my own strain of bionic chicken in it. haha. I have bought eggs on ebay lots of times. The only time I bough lav silkie eggs tho..we had a power outage on day 18 (my fault for playing my luck in January. I shoulda known better). So none since. Besides theyre a little more expensive and tougher to find.
I understand accidents happen, and thats how we learn. Ive accidently killed my own things, but not other peoples.

And as for the boyfriend thing, Im pretty well over it. In retrospect he caused me more grief than personal growth, so he wasnt worth it. But it just had me in the dumps for awhile. So its all good. And no, no chance at prom even with some buddies. Im homeschooled, so in order to go I had to be invited by someone who went to the school. My bf knew that--he was my last and only shot of going to a school dance ever--and promised me last november. But now it's this weekend and I guess he changed his mind

AND YES...Im a craigslist fiend...haha. No lav silkies on craigslist. Im in arizona. We dont have the variety we should
