Just watch out for Juice...

Here are my babies I hatched out 4 weeks ago!!! Feathering out nicely. They have been outside since week 1...its been so hot here there was no need to keep them inside. I feel that my little silver one is a Cockerel. Its little comb is starting to turn pinkish.

Love the gold laced Cochin! Very nice! I'm wanting to brood outside with my next hatch too. Did you have any heat on overnight? I'm thinking of doing the mama heating pad this time. I always say that and then resort to the light because its so easy.

Nope no need. It was only getting down to like 75 at night and was up to 100 during the day. So I just let them huddle together for warmth and they are doing great! I do want to try the heating pad this next time around with the Ogye and Hmong if I need it.

What's your hatch date? Mine should be somewhere in the last week of August. So I guess a lot will depend on the weather in September. But I'm not wanting to keep chicks inside longer then a week or two-tops. I'm just getting all the dust cleaned out from last time!
