the one in the pictures took the pictures then candled the egg when I was loading the incubator last night .the 7 day is stuck on you tube until my youngn gets up . if it wasn't for my kids I'd be lost on this things . the box is the only way to go I think when candling dark eggs It gives you both hands to work with.

I don't do that most of mine hatch in the day time don't know where that egg falls on the scale but I'd say you are close. I just know it's the wrong egg the chick is a EE and I was trying to post a picture of those eggs and messed up I made a video of the marans egg it's on day fourteen and another that is on day seven both close in color .I can't post it don't do youtube yet something else to learn they are good videos too.

In all seriousness, I don't. Checked again before I went to bed and there were two. Checked this morning and there were 8, along with some furious zipping. I'm watching CBS Sunday morning now, then will go out and start a new coop. Amy wasn't joking, she knows me. They won't get out until tonight at the very earliest, probably tomorrow morning. Just leave 'em, they'll be fine

My first two hatches, I got nothing done. I hatched so many back to back in the spring that I got used to it. The Brinsea really does make it possible. I still love to watch one hatch if I happen to walk in on it, but I'm in the shop now. Haven't been back in since I took that picture this morning

Started the chicken condo.

Layers coop

Grow out/breeding pen.

The turklets are much happier now.

Outside for supervised free ranging session.

One on my lap.

And one on my shoulder after my mole.

The turkey/meaties pen is still under construction just need the roof on the coop and the wire on run. I will be building a chicken tractor next. Who has a good design?
