Meant to say this earlier. The pigeon and her chick are doing well. I named the chick Pigeon, it just seemed so appropriate Eleanor has already laid another egg. I need to get her a mate. Maybe I'll stick a duck egg under her this time! no, jk the ducks aren't laying anyway.

Yes, there are a couple of older ones in the pic. I'm up to41 silkies...

Athens GA. Not a major breeder, so I'm already starting with flaws. He hatched and sold everything, and I didn't know better at the time. It shows what happens when a real breeder doesn't cull

Real breeders are so hard to find! Inspires me, actually. Think I might shoot to become one some day.

I have a huge silkie pen. All ages together with no issues. Raise them til I can sex them, then sell them. Day old sales died after Easter

My 2 older boys are 8 & 9 and the younger one could care less but the older one fights me for the seat in front of the incubator! Once they start zipping, it's really amazing!
