She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

What else could I do? I was pushing a stroller. I would have carried him in my hand if if I had one free. I thought about the bra hatcher and I figured it would get him warm the fastest! :gig

I would have done the same thing!!!! Lol!!! I hope he will be okay. Do what you can for him..... and smack SC for even mentioning it.....like that!

Well thank you! I've been making alot of things with eggs lately! A few pans of brownies too! I've seen bantam eggs for sale here, listed as eating or hatching, and even just for eating. Still don't know if my silkies have laid any. Have gotten a couple very light colored ones, but they both are getting streamer looking tails, but still no crowing. I'm still unsure if they are girls or not! Lol
That neighbor of yours sounds like a real winner, so I'm sure you did what you had to do... I hope it makes it through the night for you, and continues to thrive for you. Even if you have to take it back over there...

Thank you! That's good to know. I can't wait till I get eggs! The chick seems to be doing better already. I just got him to take 2 sips by himself. I swear the sav-a-chick packets are exactly that! So happy I picked up a few when I decided to start hatching!

SC, Dan suggested I ask you this. Gender opinions?

Some recipes will need adjusting for smaller eggs, of course, but still should be fine. Oh, and with the first ones, crack them individually into a bowl first, before dumping them into a cake mix, or anything. New shells can be [family friendly version] a real pain! Hubby's big hands cant crack them without getting shell in everything!

When we use bantam eggs m, we do two instead of one large egg. If you were to sell them, I see them for about $2 or $1.50per dozen
