Scots Irish, English, German and Danish... yup, I'm a mutt...Scottish here too on my fathers side and german from my mothers. I'm not sure how I ended up in an office instead of a boxing ring.I love the type on this hen and she is a good example of the bay eye color. I sure hope so. I didn't even get to look at them this am. Picked them up, got them settled, off to work. I love the penguin look on them. Great looking chicks. What line are you working with and where did you get them? BTW, Julie was a pleasure to work with and had very good prices for the quality of stock.
Bev Davis and Wade Jean lines from Jean Blancato at Macoping Farm, NJ... she had just gotten a blue copper pair when she sent me the eggs... those chicks were hatched from shipped Marans eggs... actually got 7 outta 9 on those...

Oh, no you didn't... uh oh...So I have to share this: We have this tree in our front yard that has this little bird house on it.When I get 5 minutes to myself or get to talk to a friend I usually go out on the front porch and sit in my rocker (yes, I have a rocker on my porch) and have a cig while I talk. (I know!) Anyhow, Yesterday I noticed something hanging out the "door" but was too sidetracked to go check it out and the next time I went out it was gone. I figured it was a leaf or pinecone, something blew in and got caught up. Well, today I go out to sit down and it's there again so I hurried over to see what it was. Well the house is being rented, but I never expected this tenant:
