Went and fetched the Brinseas. I figured I'd test them before cleaning them, as cleaning will take a LONG time.
Both Octagon 20s are up and running with no issues. There isn't much to them. Once they are warm, I will check temps with the Spot Check.
The Octagon 10 needs a little fixing as the adhesive that holds the heating element to the shell came unglued, and the P.O. tried to force the tray out. It's an end loader, unique design. I just need to pull the element flat and restick it.
The Polyhatch will hold 36-42 turkey eggs. This makes me very happy. I really wish it was a Hatchmaster or Hatchmaker, but I can still use it for special incubation or just for hatching if remove the turner motor. It's a nice design...silicone jacketed resistance wire around the perimeter of the top, nice high top, big picture window, and the turner is a flat platform under the eggs that moves slowly back and forth so the eggs incubate horizontally and rotate 48 times a day. I've marked a set of nonviable turkey eggs and I'm testing the movement. The eggs don't have to be handled to change from incubate + turn to hatch mode, simply unplug the cord to the base. It's a thick hard foam shell, not the cheap EPS. The ugly gold color even coordinates with my old GQF. They are the same vintage.
