Just lost a mafia sized multi-quote!! I'm not going back! This app drives me nuts. Here's what I remember:

Wv: Juicey is beautiful! My neighbor has a duck that looks exactly like her! The day she came off her nest with her babies, we watched her bring them out from under the bush. She had this long, puffy white feather sticking off her head on the side above the eye. We thought it was just stuck there from her making the nest. After two days we checked and it was still there...it's a white feather growing out of the side of her black head! It makes her look so dainty and girly. She looks like a 1920's flapper girl. I'll try to get a pic. It's like this:

Sc, I thought the same thing about Friday's eggs! The green were so nice. Also when you lay eggs on their sides, it's much better for candling purposes, you can really see the embryo has it's floating toward the topside of the egg.

Side wing, we set together!!! I'll be thinking of you in 21 days! Good luck!

Lazy, I got permission from the quail board to put a step on it. Shouldn't be this long! Going to investigate...

Let the games begin!

*I think* you'll get closer to 25% with blue shell, varying shades of the brown coatings... Punnett square it... since the layer is EE/Leghorn then she's only carrying 1 blue egg gene and the other carries none...
Using w for a white egg gene, B for brown egg gene and O for a blue gene the punnett square gives me 50% Bw and 50% BO right? so if Blue is dominant to brown then 50% should lay olive eggs?

BB (Marans)
Ow (leghorn mix)

Is my punnetting off on that?

That is off, I believe, sorry...

First, there is no 'brown egg gene'... shells are either white or blue... so w/w or b/b, EExLeghorn would be w/b... (I know those aren't the right symbols, but hope it makes sense)

The brown coating is controlled by a whole other set of genes, so coating will vary but not sure how...

You're not the only one! lol... sounds like I'm pimping her out...
Burrito packing eggs is a strip of bubble wrap, tape the ends together on 1 end to make pocket and roll egg up in it and tape... set them big end up close together... maybe @chicapee has a pic of the eggs I sent her to show you??
:woot 1st egg!!!!! Juice is pretty!!!
Ignore it or kick it out... free egg or $$$ eggs??? Just gotta go with what's more important...
Whenever possible, duck eggs incubate way better laying on their sides... something about egg and body shape being different than chickens... I always lay mine down...

I haven't been invited to the Shipathon...

That's right, brown is separate. I forgot about that.

Thank you!

I don't think invitations are necessary... whoever donates eggs, gets eggs in return!
