oh how fun! I havent been to a pig roast in years and years!! this area, and I really appreciate the honesty! Hubs doesnt like the carry laws in the state though, esp if we are in the middle of nowhere with the bears, but I have no clue what laws are in the south on that issue either. Anyways, I am open to going ANYWHERE but here, just want to live someplace else for once in my life! shwew I best keep them slim but trying to get to know everyone what a sweet coop! love the time you put into her! I can only imagine, those redwoods sound just mystical! I hear ya no I wouldnt think so, and about the pup, people can be ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh seriously!!! makes me so mad!

Yea "people" if thats what we Have to call the scum who treat animals like that... I wont be too terrified to admit that ive actually Stolen over half a dozen cats/kittens/dogs/puppies because of Bad situations... Ive still got a cat, who i stole as a kitten. I discovered him with half his tail cut off

As for the carry laws...yeah, ever since the "safe act" carriers in this state have not been very happy. I don't own a gun, so I don't know all it entails but I know "repeal the safe act" signs are very prominent....lol Between the weather, the taxes and the laws, the state sucks....lol Windchill factor making temps 30 and 40 below aren't fun...lol

Thing that gets me about those laws is that people who obey the law are the only ones who are going to be affected by them and those aren't the people you generally need to worry about. I get why they pass them, though. Kind of like the Patriot Act after 9/11. Has gun based crime gone down since the safe act? I wonder what the stats are.

I would say more like 4 ish??? My ex was stationed at Green Haven Correctional and he had a 6 hour drive to get back up here? That was Dutchess county I think...You're close to that aren't you?

People who hurt animals are the scum of the earth and should have worse treatment done to them! I just can't imagine why someone would do that...must be the dark side.

Jay and I went to an "auction" this afternoon. They had poultry and small animals. The trouble was when the highest bid was reached most of the sellers decided it wasn't enough so the sales fell through. What I want to know is why sell at an auction if you have a set price in mind. I would think it would be better to advertise on craigslist or something. We left half way through as it was a farce. Most of the birds were bantams. What do people do with bantams? I also thought the folks running it were kind of rough with the animals. Maybe I am just a softy but Jay thought the same. We didn't even handle our birds that we processed in that manner.

I agree. I understand background and even pysch evals but the laws only effect those who follow the law. Eventually the only ones that will have guns is criminals and no one will be able to defend themselves.

Queen Anne's used to get me, but that's one of them that lesssend as I got older, now rag weed...last I knew I was still off the charts for that one. We have something out here that keeps my eyes burning though. I had allergy shots from elementary till I stopped getting them (by choice) in my mid twenties. A lot of my allergies did lesson, but the ones that remain are full force. Dust/dust mites is another one that kills me.

Oh gosh no....lol I can't stand the two hour drive to Syracuse to see my bestie and my sis...lol Actually he hadn't even made it to the academy when we were together. He was still testing. We split when I was only 2 months pregnant. By the time he made time to be part of our son's life he had gone through the academy and was at GH. Even had we not, I doubt I would have made that trip with a baby and I stay as far away from big cities as I possible can....lol I'm a hick. That is cool though. If I ever need to come pick up eggs I'll make him take me...lol then again, I don't know if I could handle being in a vehicle with him that long....lol.
