That sounds like the Welsummer eggs I hatched. Omg, that was a nightmare!! They were dark, very porous and speckled. I couldn't see veins til half way through the hatch. All I could see was a dark mass and even that was hard to make out in a few of them. Once I got a really good bright flashlight to candle with it was easier but it was still hard to see any thing in some of them. I used to get headaches from squinting trying to see what was going on in them eggs, lol. That's why I'm glad these Icelandic eggs are light cream colored to almost white. With BCM eggs all you can really see is a dark mass because the shell color is just too dark to make out veining. I would keep them in and just watch to see if the dark mass grows. That's how I had to do it with my first hatch. One was so dark I could not even see in it. I just left it in until the end. It was DIS fully formed.

You anywhere close to Chattanooga?
My mother's home town
They are adorable!
From what I know of Chattanooga, I'd rather be closer to Nashville, too. At least I'd get to go to the OpreyAbout 2 1/2 to 3 hrs from Chat... lot closer to Nash...
Looks like a nice healthy bunch of kids!
The one standing tall in back of first pic might be a beardless... just use those ones as layers only for eggs, breed the bearded if you want...![]()
