She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

At least you're getting eggs. All mine started molting 3 weeks ago. We went from 5-6 eggs per day to 4 to 2, then finally last week we got 6 one day, 4 the next, now 0 for the last 3 days in a row.
Mine are doing the same thing. At least my "yearlings" that give me the nice big eggs. Been a month since I've gotten more than 4 eggs. When one starts laying again one of the others stops and goes into molt. Between the shorter days and the molting they are killing me!

Well, at least I ain't all by my lonesome.

Surprisingly my 8 comets are still giving me 7-8 eggs per day! :) I think my free-loading lavenders must have made some kind of deal with them :D

That's their way of thanking you for the fancy new digs you're building for them.

We had a such beautiful day today! We did almost all of our school outside, (yes, we school through the small holdidays), and let the chickens range most of the day and then did our pumpkins. The chickens loved the pumpkin. I was able to get some fairly decent pics of mommy and baby and a couple others, so I have to share.

These are actually from a couple days ago, but they are so sweet.

Momma was enjoying some sun/dust bathing, and boy was she getting dust everywhere! lol
