She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Woke up this morning to a new fuzzy butt!! That makes 6 so far and there's also another pipper. That leaves 1 egg that hasn't done anything so far. I'll candle that 1 in a little bit since he hasn't done anything yet.
ETA: Just candled and he's still alive. He apparently doesn't want to come out of that egg, lol.

:yesss: That's great!! I thought you locked down 11?

I don't know if I want to take pics now or wait til this next 1 hatches, he's making a lot of noise in there so I think he'll be zipping soon.

My 2 ducks have pipped but they are still talking over when to come out.

Tell them "chop, chop"

I have 2 more runners pipping.

Yay!

I'm not sure what to do with them all. Balut anyone?
That is not a can of worms you want to open...lol Just ask sc about the thread that was started about balut. Even the thread starter left the thread and ran for the hills....lol

You do realize I'm kidding? I would not want to do cook a poor little unhatched duckie.
I'm sure most of us did or at least was hoping....lol

We are on day 4 also. I candled a few but couldn't see a thing

I don't have candling down so I'm hoping it's just me.
Are you candling down into the egg from the big end, NOT the side or bottom? Have you checked out the candling thread on here?

Ok, thought I quoted Ruby too, guess not....

My last broody hatched out both of her eggs. I went out at seven this morning, still dark out, to check. I think they all thought I was crazy. For once I woke them up. lol Both had hatched. One is a yellowish with splashes of black/gray through it the other I couldn't see as well, but it appears to be a dark gray/black. Momma backed up and took an egg with her to the corner, which I took away from her. I guess she's not happy with just having two. She's not far from the "nesting ground" but she did move a bit so we'll see what happens.

My other momma is doing great with her trio of cuties. They are 2 weeks now and doing great. When she brought them out of their "nest" this morning there was a little egg under her so it seems that she has gone back to laying.

Awwwww.... As late as it is staying dark now, I'm usually outside before mine are up. Its still dark when I leave for work now. But surprisingly, the 6-week old babies are usually up. They have the porch light though, so maybe that's why. The silkies kinda growl at me if I shine my flashlight through the window on them LOL, but at least I know they are in there.

I'm glad your final 2 hatched. Get some pics soon! And I can't believe its already been 2 weeks for the trio. Time flies....
