You guys! I think we scared her off...

 Can't scare me off! I'm as bad an enabler as the rest of you! Really trying to exercise self control here, but I have a feeling some of them are going to make their way into my next batch of ayam cemani eggs

I've been waiting on my lavender orpingtons to start laying, now I'm hoping they wait till spring, because I know as soon as I crack some open and verify fertility, I'm going to want to hatch some. But I know better than to ask here if I should or not :D

Sad day.

My little black chick is GONE! Literally gone! Every time I peeked in the coop she was in a different place with them. Then I went to leave for an appointment and peeked in and she wasn't in the coop. She was in the run beside the coop door, scratching her little heart out. The little yellow one was trying to get under her and crying and she ended up kicking her twice and sending her flying. I looked everywhere for the little black one. Nothing. No body no sign. Needless to say, little Frosty is now in the house with us. I don't know if it was the right decision, but I am afraid she will meet the same fate as her sibling. Momma, apparently is not the quality mamma that my banty is.

:hugs So sorry! One of my orps did this this year with guinea keets - she just didn't pay them attention as well as she should have and they all disappeared one by one until she only had one left, which I took and finished raising myself.
