Here's our two new girls :) got home at 12:08am. For some reason I prefer to drive at night. Far less traffic & construction :)

I am amazed at the color of duck eggs. When I was very young, I found a pale blue duck egg in the mud by the pond. I took it home to incubate under a light bulb. It developed into a stink bomb and my parents found it in time.

Which probably explains why it was all by its lonesome in the mud to start with; mama duck knew it was no good long before you did.

Well, you were one up on me, anyway. I grabbed a couple eggs from the fridge when I was young & kept them wrapped in towels in my bedroom. Don't recall who finally got rid of them, but they got gone.
