She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Day old chicks and I am feeling like an expectant mom. I am giving them my office for a brooder. I haven't started buying their supplies yet. I may get my coworkers to have me a baby chick shower since I never had any kids. LOL
Have you looked at this option: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/yes-you-certainly-can-brood-chicks-outdoors

I think it was determined that she was actually a 50 year old man that spoke Korean
That's just plain sick.

I'm not trenching very deep for my skirt. (does that make it a mini skirt?) Just deep enough, that if the grass chooses to grow there, it'll cover the wire well to prevent mower issues. Putting an access door mid way along the front of the coop, so that if someone lays an egg or dies under that portion of the coop, I can get it out.

@AmyPaperlady how are your eggs looking???

The short answer, with pics, is https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...he-brinsea-warning-pic-heavy/40#post_16018194 for the only Under Frieda pics (and post 49 for Sunday's Day 14 report)

The long answer is that I'm at Day 16. When I candled Sunday night, I couldn't see much in the BCM eggs (huge surprise there) though there was a good amount of darkness in all of them except for the one that I'd suspected of being clear on the Day 7 candle--and I think I saw movement in one! The Sulmtaler eggs are great for seeing into and photographing--of the six in the incubator, 3 are very likely quitters, but the other 3 have great veins, and one had tons of movement ('twas even the last one candled, so the one that had cooled the most--I found it easier to pull all 11 eggs and put them in a carton, then put them back in after each egg is candled--easier to tell which I've done, and I don't have eggs falling over sideways.)

I am so looking forward to seeing the hatch! I bet 11 chicks are going to be quite a crowd in there!

I lockdown tomorrow!!!!! So far I have 11 good eggs going in and one questionable silkie so that makes 12. We shall what happens!!!! I need to get the brooder ready!!

Well, 7 anyway, if those 3 are quitters, and that clear ;) If I thought the eggs would stay upright, I'd take the rail out to give 'em a little more room, since I'm planning on keeping them in there until it's time to deliver them to Frieda. With it being a side-loader, I can't really see any easy way to snatch chicks out without escapees!
