Just hauled all the pumpkins I grew this summer in, as we should be getting our first frost this week. My chickens love pumpkins, and I'm hoping I can get them fed before they start to soften. I've got a food storage room in the basement, so I should be able to.

I usually pick up a truck load after Halloween for free. Some go to the birds, but most go up hunting. Deer love 'em.

Our deer are too dumb to eat pumpkins. I put 2 of them out on a known trail & they never touched them. Squirrels & birds loved me, though.
